Intro to Needlepoint
Intro to needlepoint is a beginner-friendly course where you'll start and finish your own needlepoint keychain. Learn the basics of needlepoint and how to tackle any needlepoint project. No experience required. All supplies will be provided.
This course is meant for beginners with no previous needlepoint experience.
We will cover:
Overview of needlepoint and fiber arts.
How to thread your needle.
How to anchor your threads to start and stop.
Continental needlepoint stitch.
How to finish your canvas into a usable keychain with the patent-pending Needlepoint Gateway easy binding.
You will leave this course with the skills and ability to approach any needlepoint project!
Dana is very passionate about sharing the joys of fiber arts. She has been needlepointing for over 30 years, following in her grandmother’s footsteps. After spending decades helping build some of your favorite beauty brands, Dana wanted to bring her love of needlepoint to new stitchers, removing the barriers many new stitchers face by creating a kit geared to adults that gives you everything you need to not just start needlepointing but make something you can actually use!
This is a 2-hour course that meets once. Additional time stitching after class will be needed to finish your project.
Your instructor will walk you step-by-step through each aspect of the course at an easy-to-follow pace.
You will get to pick your colors for stitching your very own needlepoint keychain.
In class, you will get started on needlepointing your canvas, walk through all steps of needlepoint, and learn how to attach keychain hardware. Your stitching will not be completed in class, but you will have ample supplies to finish at home and be able to enjoy your keychain.
All supplies are included including:
Hand-painted canvas, needles, thread, keychain hardware
